How do I view my indexing messages?

You may receive messages from FamilySearch headquarters or from your local group administrator or stake indexing consultant. Important messages may appear in a separate window as soon as you sign in. These important messages will continue to appear in a separate window each time you sign in until you delete the message from the list.

Note: Indexing uses a different messaging service than FamilySearch messaging. You can see and send indexing messages on the Indexing page. For FamilySearch messages, click the Messages link in the header of the FamilySearch site.

Steps

  1. To view your messages, follow these steps:
    1. Navigate to the FamilySearch Indexing start page.
    2. Locate the Messages section.
    3. Click a message from the list.
  2. To delete your messages, follow these steps:
    1. Select the message(s) from the list.
    2. Click Delete Message.
    3. You can also delete a message by opening it. In the upper right corner you will see the Delete option.
      • Note: Most messages are automatically deleted after 30 days.
  3. To print your messages, follow these steps:
    1. Open the message that you would like to print.
    2. In the upper right corner of the message, click Print.
    3. Print preview will open in your browser.
    4. Print the message.
