Perform the following steps to sign in to Family Tree using JAWS.
Bring up your Internet browser by pressing the Windows key to go to the search box and then entering the first few letters of the browser name; for example, type in for Internet Explorer or mo for Mozilla Firefox. When the name for your browser is displayed, press Enter to bring up the browser.
- Go to the Family Tree website by pressing Control + L to move focus to the address bar and entering https://familysearch.org/tree. Then press Enter. You can also create a favorite for Family Tree and go to Family Tree using the favorite.
- When Family Tree comes up, you are asked to sign in.
- If JAWS does not take you to the first edit field automatically, press E to go to the first edit field.
- If JAWS does not go into Forms Mode automatically, press Enter to activate forms mode.
- Two edit fields, a radio button, and the Sign In link are displayed. Enter your username in the first edit field, press Tab to move to the next edit field, and enter your password.
- Press Tab to move to the Sign in button, and press Space Bar or Enter to sign in.
- You are signed in to Family Tree and are placed on your Pedigree page.
