How do I remove sources from my source box?

You can remove sources from your source box when you are finished attaching them to your ancestors' person pages. Doing so keeps your source box from becoming too large and difficult to manage. 

Steps (website)

  1. While signed in to FamilySearch.org, in the top-right portion of the screen, click your name.
  2. Click Source Box. 
  3. Click the check box next to each individual source you want to remove. You can also click the top box left of the Create Source button and remove all sources.
  4. At the top of the list of sources, click Remove.
  5. Click Yes.

Steps (mobile app)

Currently, the Family Tree and Memories mobile apps lack the source box feature. Manage your source box from FamilySearch.org.

Currently, Family Tree Lite lacks the source box feature. Manage your source box from FamilySearch.org.
