You can print the image of most historical records on FamilySearch. However, in some cases the legal agreements between FamilySearch and the organization or government that owns the image prohibits printing.
Steps (website)
- Find and open the image that you want to download.
- If searching from the Historical Records, click View Original Document on the main record page to open the image.
- In the top-right corner of the image viewing window, click the print icon. The icon appears as a small printer with paper coming out.
- Note: If you do not see the print icon, download the image to your computer first. Then locate and open the downloaded image to print it.

Steps (mobile app)
- Open the Family Tree app.
- Navigate to Search Historical Records.
- Search for and open an image.
- Near the top of the image, tap the print icon. The icon appears as a small printer with paper coming out.
- Note: If you do not see the print icon, download the image to your mobile device first. Then locate and open the downloaded image to print it.

Steps (Family Tree Lite)
Family Tree Lite does not allow you to view and print images. Access FamilySearch Historical Records through the full website or the FamilySearch Family Tree mobile app.
