How do I leave an indexing group?

Here's how to leave an indexing group if you no longer want to participate.

Steps

  1. Sign into FamilySearch.
  2. At the top of the screen, click Get Involved.
  3. Click Indexing.
  4. Scroll down to the Groups section.
  5. Click the name of the group that you want to leave.
  6. In the upper right corner, click Leave Group.

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints do not have the option to leave their ward or stake groups. When you move, your ward and stake groups are updated automatically when the clerk moves your membership record.
