Getting Started with Family Tree App
Download FamilySearch mobile apps to take your family history and genealogy research on the go. Look for the Family Tree, Memories, and Get Involved apps in your device's app store.
With the Family Tree mobile app, you can connect with your ancestors as you discover the important events and stories of their lives. The Memories app makes it easy and convenient to collect, preserve, and share your favorite family memories. Get Involved provides simple tools to unlock family names in historic documents so they can be searched online for free.
Steps
- Open the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or go to: https://www.familysearch.org/mobile-apps/
- For Kindles, go to Amazon.com and set the search filter to Apps & Games. Or click the tab Appstore for Android. The Get Involved app is not available on the Amazon Appstore.
- Search for FamilySearch.
- Find the desired app from the list.
- Android: Tap Install.
- Apple: Tap Get.
- Kindle: Tap Get App.
- When the app finishes its installation, tap its icon to open it.
