How do I add siblings to Family Tree?

You can add more children to a couple. You can also add your relative's siblings directly from their page.

Steps (website)

Landscape, Portrait, Fan Chart, and Descendancy Views

  1. In the top menu, click Family Tree, and then click Tree.
  2. Find the sibling of the person you want to add.
  3. Click the person's name. In the details that pop-up, click the person's name again. You will be taken to that person’s page.
  4. Click the Details tab.
  5. Scroll to the Family Members section.
  6. At the bottom of the Parents and Siblings box, click Add Child. (If Add Child does not show, go back to your family tree and locate the ancestors you want to add a child to. Click the down arrow beside Children underneath your ancestors' box.)
    • If one of the parents of the child is unknown, click Add Child with an Unknown Mother or Father. You can include details in a note or Life Sketch.
    • If both of the parent's names of the child are unknown, add the father by his last name. You can then add the siblings using the down arrow underneath the father's box.
  7. Enter information about the sibling, and click Next. (If you know the ID of the sibling, in the bottom-right corner of the box, click By ID Number.)
  8. Review the search results. If you find the right sibling, click Add Person
  9. If you do not see the person, click Create New.
