Do I still need to check for duplicates if the temple icon is green?

Share

A green temple icon on your ancestor's record means that temple ordinances are waiting to be reserved. Take a moment, however, to make sure that Family Tree has only one record for the person. A duplicate record can show completed ordinances.

Family Tree detects possible duplicates when records contain similar information. But Family Tree can sometimes skip over them, especially when the records in question contain different information.

If one record listed a parent, for example, and the other listed only a spouse, you would not be notified of the duplicate record. To find it, you would have to search for the duplicate yourself.
