Am I allowed to take pictures of records I find in a FamilySearch center?

Share

Sometimes you find information in a book, a physical microfilm, or other reference materials at your FamilySearch center. You are welcome to use a digital camera or smart phone to capture images from resources. Images should be for noncommercial personal use.

If you visit a FamilySearch center or the FamilySearch Library, the policy is to only copy or photograph 10% or less of any given resource. If you need more than 10% of the resource, contact the original author or producer of the resource, and obtain permission.

Send any questions about this policy to the copyright coordinator: fhd-copyright@churchofjesuschrist.org
