Support Missionary Preparation Instruction
What are the Support Missionary Preparation Lessons?
Often times there is a waiting period for new support missionaries between their call letter and their official start date. This instruction has been designed for new support missionaries to prepare you for your new role during that waiting period. It introduces you to the following topics: representing FamilySearch as a missionary, FamilySearchs' purpose statement and quality standards, the Family History Departments' business plan and goals, and the FamilySearch website.
We hope you enjoy this preparation period before your mission start date. Set aside time each day to do the work. This will prepare you for your assigned schedule once you begin your service. Complete each assignment in its entirety. We pray you will feel the Spirit of family history work and the important role you will play as you learn to enable inspiring journeys that bring joy to all people as they discover, gather, and connect their family—past, present, and future!
