Page Creation - Scenario 1
How to Duplicate a Template Page on Brightspot
Step 1: Log in to Brightspot and connect to GFOS Support Operations.
Step 2: On the Brighspot website, search for Page Template.
- Adjust the Search Status to Draft by selecting both Draft options.
- Choose one of the five template options available.
Step 3: After selecting one of the templates, go to the upper right-hand corner and select the three dots. Click on Copy This Page.
Step 4: Now that the page has been duplicated, add to the Display Name, LAO - and then write the title of the new page.
Note: The Internal Name needs to match the Display Name.
Step 5: On the right-hand corner, select the save icon then click on the three-dotted lines. Select Translate this Page.
- Under Service, change from Lingotek to Manual, then click next.
- To search for the language, type Spanish and select the option with Spain in parentheses.
- Click Review. Then click Translate, and then click Done.
Step 6: Under the Localization tab select the Spanish translation.
- Under the Display name of the Spanish page, delete the English text so only LAO dash and the new title remain.
- Make sure the Display Name and Internal Name are the same on the Spanish page.
Step 7: Adjustments to the page can be made, including changing text titles, adding images, and more. For more information on how to make changes to a page, please watch the other videos of this scenario series.
Step 8: Once the page is ready to be published, go to the upper right-hand corner and select Send to Review.
- A member of the Content Development Team (CDT) will review and publish your page. If changes are needed prior to publication, the CDT will reach out to let you know.
