(Note: The My Impact feature is still in the testing phase. Each day, we make it available to a small audience of randomly selected users. Once testing is complete, My Impact will be available to everyone who visits the FamilySearch website.)
Temples are an important part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which FamilySearch is a subsidiary. Many members of the Church use FamilySearch, and for them, their efforts in contributing to FamilySearch and participating in temple worship can be a validating experience.
For patrons of FamilySearch who are not members of the Church, seeing information regarding temples can be confusing. So FamilySearch only displays information about temples if it determines that an account belongs to a member of the Church.
If you would like to know more about temples, go to churchofjesuschrist.org/temples.
