Why am I seeing a Quality Score Problems warning when saving my changes?

Adding information such as names, dates, places, relationships, and sources can improve the quality of Family Tree records. If you find information that is incorrect, making corrective changes can also enhance the record’s accuracy.

Some changes, however, can negatively affect the quality of a record. When you save a change, the system will automatically check for such issues.

If any problems are detected, you will see a “Quality Score Problems” notification.

The following are examples of problematic changes:

  • Names that are inconsistent with other names associated with a person, their parents, spouse, or children. For example, a marriage record showing a spouse with a different name.
  • Dates that are inconsistent with other dates associated with a person, their parents, spouse, or children. For example, the death of a parent occurring before the birth of a child.

Please review and resolve any listed issues before applying your changes.
