The Wolverine Reels2Digital MovieMaker converter is used to digitize 8 mm and Super 8 movie reels. The following steps explain how to use the Wolverine converter. You can also view a video about the conversion process here.
1. Insert an SD card (must not be larger than 32 GB) in the back of the Wolverine converter.
2. Place the film reel on the red spindle.
Note: If you need to use the adapter for the spindle size, attach the adapter to the converter first and then place the reel on the spindle.
3. Determine whether the film type is 8 mm or Super 8.
4. Toggle to the correct film type.
5. Thread the film by following the solid line on the face of the converter.
6. Open the film gate.
7. Thread the film under all 3 teeth.
8. Close the film gate.
9. Continue threading the film following the solid line guide on the front of the converter.
10. Turn the converter on.
11. Check the menu options to format the converter correctly.
Note: If you need to adjust the way the picture is framed, click Frame ADJ and make the necessary adjustments to properly align the frame. Use the Wolverine Reels2Digital MovieMaker instruction book if you need more details about this process.
12. Click the Start button and allow the converter to digitize the loaded film.
13. Once the film has finished converting, remove the film from the take-up reel and place it on the left spindle.
Note: If you need to use the adapter for the spindle size, attach the adapter to the converter first and then place the reel on the spindle.
14. Thread the film by following the dotted lines.
Note: Do not place the film under the film gate to rewind.
15. Press the Menu button.
16. Select Rewind.
17. To rewind the spool, click Start.
