You can capture a chart or map that exceeds the maximum camera area by capturing the image in sections. First, capture the upper left corner of the document. Then capture the other sections as attachments to that first image, making it the base image.
Step 1: Adjust the camera height for the best calibration possible results.
Step 2: Create a template that will allow you to produce a standard size for each image. For example, you might create a template that divides the image into fourths.
Step 3: Starting at the upper left corner of the record, capture what will be the base section of the document.
Step 4: Use Ctrl+L or Ctrl+R to capture the rest of the document as attachments to the first image.
- Capture the document in sections, first going across from left to right, then down and across in a Z pattern.
- Overlap each image by about 3 inches (7.62 centimeters).
- As you move the record to orient it for the next capture, click Preview in the main menu to help position it.
Step 5: When finished, evaluate the images to make sure that the entire document has been captured.
