- 4 connecting plates—2 by 4 in. (5 by 10 cm) (F)
- 8 double-nuts (M)
- 16 screws—1/2 in. (12 mm) (Z)
During workstation assembly, attach all double- and single-nuts loosely, leaving a gap between the plate and the nuts. Also, put the smooth side of the nuts so they face the plate.
The double-and single-nuts on all plate assemblies slide into the grooves of the workstation rails. The screws are then tightened, providing a secure connection to the rails.

Step 2: Put together 8 corner plates assemblies using the following parts:
- 8 corner plates—2 in. (5 cm) (G)
- 32 double-nuts (M)
- 64 screws—1/2 in. (12 mm) (Z)

Step 3: Put together two T-connecting plate assemblies using the following parts:
- 2 T-connecting plates (GG)
- 12 double-nuts (M)
- 24 screws—1/2 in. (12 mm) (Z)Step 4: Put together 2 pivot joint assemblies using the following parts:

Step 4: Put together 2 pivot joint assemblies using the following parts:
- 2 pivot joints (O)
- 2 single-nuts (N)
- 2 screws—5/8 in. (16 mm) (BB)
Note: It does not matter which end of the pivot joint you attach the single-nuts to.
Attach the single-nuts loosely, leaving a gap between the pivot joint and the single-nuts. Also, put the smooth side of the single-nut so it is facing the pivot joint.
Slide the double-nuts of the 2 T-connecting plate assemblies and 4 of the corner plate assemblies into the grooves of the rear base rail (X).
The 2 T-connecting plate assemblies slide into the side grooves of the rear base rail (X) and the 4 corner plate assemblies slide into the top grooves of the rear base rail.
Note: Do not tighten the screws yet.

Step 5: Slide the single-nuts of the pivot joint assemblies into the grooves on the rear side of the rear base rail (X) until they are flush with the end of the rear base rail. Tighten the screws to secure them in place.
Note: You may have to adjust the pivot joint to allow access to the screw head. The 2 tabs on the pivot joint assembly slide into the rail groove.

Step 6: Lay out the right and left side base rails (U) next to the rear base rail (X) and the front base rail (V). Make sure the tapped holes in the right and left side base rails (U) are to the rear of the assembly.
Note: For clarity, the related images do not show the rear base rail (X) assemblies installed on the rear base rail (X). However, these assemblies must be installed before completing the following steps.

Step 7: Slide the double-nuts of the corner plate assemblies into the grooves of the front base rail (V). Then attach 2 connecting plate assemblies, 1 on each end of the rail, using 4 of the 1/2 in. (12 mm) screws for each plate. Tighten the 4 screws that hold the connecting plate to the front base rail (V). Leave all of the other screws loose.

Step 8: Slide the double-nuts of 2 connecting plate assemblies into the grooves at the rear of the rear base rail assembly, 1 at each end. Leave the screws loose.
Note: Make sure the tapped holes in the side base rails (U) are to the rear of the assembly.

Step 9: Slide 2 corner plate assemblies into the grooves of the side base rails (U) and then into the grooves of the rear base rails.

Step 10: Slide the grooves of the side base rails (U) into the double-nuts of the front base rail(V) assembly. Tighten all screws in the following order:
Note: When tightening multiple screws on any plate, first lightly tighten all screws on the plate before firmly securing them.
- While holding both rails flush to one another, tighten the 4 screws that secure the connecting plates to the side base rails (U).
- While holding the corner plates against both rails, tighten the 8 corner plate screws that attach them to the side base rails (U) and front base rail (V).

Step 11: Use 4 of the 1/2 in. (12 mm) screws to attach the connecting plates to the side base rails (U. Tighten all 8 screws on each connecting plate.
Step 12: Tighten all corner plate assembly screws that connect the rear base rail (X) to the side base rails (U) while holding the corner plates flush against both rails.
Step 13: Set the completed base assembly aside.

Assemble the Top
Step 1: Put together 2 connecting plate assemblies using the following parts:
- 2 connecting plates—2 by 4 in. (5 by 10 cm) (F)
- 8 double-nuts (M)
- 16 screws—1/2 in. (12 mm) (Z)

Step 2: Put together 4 corner plate assemblies using the following parts:
- 4 corner plates—2 in (5 cm) (G)
- 16 double-nuts (M)
- 32 screws—1/2 in. (12 mm) (Z)

Step 3: Put together the guide block assembly using the following parts:
- 4 screws—5/8 in. (16 mm) (BB)
- 4 single-nuts (N)
- 1 guide block (ID)
Locate the screws and single-nuts in the center 2 holes on the sides of the guide block with the single-nuts on the flat side of the guide block.
Step 4: Join the 2 light arm mount (W) rails together using 2 connecting plates, by sliding the connecting plate double-nuts into the grooves at the ends of the 2 light arm mounts (W).
Make sure the connecting plates are centered over the ends of the light arm mounts (W). With the ends of the light arm mounts (W) flat against each other, tighten all the connecting plate screws.

Step 5: Slide the guide block onto 1 end of the light arm mounts assembly and center it where the 2 light arm mounts (W) join together. Tighten the 4 guide block screws.
Note: Before securing the guide block in place, ensure that the guide block hand brake is within one half turn of being tight. If the hand brake is too loose, turning it will not secure the top assembly in place when it is mounted on the camera stand tower (Y).
Step 6: Slide 2 corner plates into the grooves at each end of the light arm mount (W) rail on the same side of the rail as the guide block.
Step 7: Tighten the screws on the corner plates in the following order:
- With the outside corner plates flush with the ends of the light arm mounts (W), tighten the 4 screws on the plates.
- While holding the light supports (S) flush up against the light arm mounts (W), tighten the remaining 4 screws on the outside corner plates.
- With the inside corner plates flush up against the light arm mounts (W) and light supports (S), tighten the screws that attach them in place.

Attach the Base Assembly to the Top Assembly
Step 1: Put together 2 pivot joint assemblies using the following parts:
- 2 pivot joints (O)
- 2 single-nuts (N)
- 2 screws—5/8 in. (16 mm) (BB)
Note: It does not matter which end of the pivot joint you attach the single-nuts to.

Step 2: Slide the grooves of the camera stand tower (Y) into the double-nuts of the T- connecting plates and corner plates.

Step 3: Tighten the screws holding the camera stand tower (Y) in place in the following order:
- With the T-connecting plates and corner plates centered on the rear base rail (X), tighten the 8 screws at the bottom of both T-connecting plates.
- With the camera stand tower (Y) sitting flat on the rear base rail (X), tighten the 4 screws at the top of the T-connecting plates.
- With the corner plates pushed up against the camera stand tower (Y), tighten the top 4 screws on each of the 4 corner plates that attach to the camera stand tower (Y).
- Tighten the corner plate screws that attach to the rear base rail (X).

Step 4: Attach the top assembly by sliding the glide block over the back of the camera stand tower (Y) and locking it into place using the hand brake. Set the distance from the top of the rear base rail (X) to the bottom of the guide block assembly to 30 in. (76 cm).

Step 5: Attach a pivot joint assembly to 1 end of each light arm support (RA) using 5/8 in. (16 mm) screws.
Note: You may have to adjust the pivot joint to allow access to the screw head.
Step 6: Attach the open ends of the light arm supports (RA) to the pivot joints that are attached to the rear base rails (X) using 5/8 in. (16 mm) screws. Be sure the single-nuts on the opposite end of the light arm supports (RA) are facing up so they can be attached to the light arm mounts (W).
Note: You may have to adjust the pivot joint to allow access to the screw head.

Step 7: Attach the light arm supports (RA) to the ends of light arm mounts (W) by sliding the single-nuts of the pivot joint assemblies into the rear light arm mount (W) grooves.
Note: Using the glide block hand brake, you may need to move the top assembly slightly up or down to allow the pivot point assembly single-nuts to be inserted into the light arm mount (W) rear grooves.

Step 8: Tighten the screws that secure the pivot joint assemblies to the light arm mounts (W).

Step 9: Briefly loosen the hand brake on the glide block assembly to relieve any tension created when attaching the pivot joint assemblies in the above steps. Once any tension has been relieved from the top assembly, tighten up the hand brake.
Step 10: Using the mounting fasteners, attach the large end cap protectors on the ends of the light arm mounts (W), and the small end cap protectors on the ends of the light supports (S).
Step 11: Attach the camera stand to the camera stand tower (Y), and lock it into place using the hand brake.
