Zebulon Pike Chapter, NSDAR
We are the First DAR Chapter in Colorado The Zebulon Pike Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution was formed in 1895, in Colorado Springs. Our chapter focuses on promoting Patriotism, Education, and Historic Preservation as we serve God, Home, and Country. Our members are professional business women, homemakers, active military, and veterans ranging in age from 19 – 99.
Pikes Peak Genealogical Society
Pikes Peak Genealogical Society of Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado, offers classes, lectures, a monthly DNA special-interest group, and one-on-one help to members. Free beginning genealogy classes are occasionally offered. PPGS seeks to preserve family history by indexing local records and contributing to other public genealogy causes. PPGS members regularly have fun by enjoying social activities together.
African American Historical and Genealogical Society of C/S
AAHGSCS has set up historical and genealogical booths for various events networking with countless organizations. In addition to this, members have given presentations, workshops, receptions and have sent newsletters all over the U.S.
Pikes Peak Library District
The Pikes Peak Library District has Regional History & Genealogy collections. The Regional History collection includes books, maps, manuscripts etc. related to the history of the Pikes Peak region. The Genealogy collection contains extensive family history research materials including books, periodicals, and access to major genealogical databases.
