RootsTech may be hosted by FamilySearch, but it is not a solo venture. It takes many hands to organize the largest genealogical conference in the world! FamilySearch is pleased and grateful to introduce the contributing organizations that make this conference a success.

Get a glimpse of each of our society sponsors here, and then come and see what they offer in the expo hall of the Salt Palace from February 29 to March 2! These societies have a lot to offer anyone interested in doing their family history.

The National Genealogical Society inspires, connects, and leads the family history community. We foster collaboration and best practices in advocacy, education, preservation, and research. We enable people, cultures, and organizations to discover the past and create a lasting legacy. Learn more about our educational courses, books, and membership benefits.

Members of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) can help you dig deeper and discover more about your family history. APG is proud to be a sponsor of RootsTech 2024; browse our membership directory at apgen.org to find the right professional for your project.

Heritage Genealogical College is an online genealogical research college. Anyone may take courses and work towards a certificate, AA, or BA degree, or just take one course at a time. During September through May, online research support groups are held free of charge, where students help solve research problems submitted by group members. The College also has created helpful genealogical content and textbooks, including one on African American Genealogical Research and Structural and Practical Genealogical Research. Visit us at the Expo Hall during RootsTech to learn more!

Founded in 1845, the American Ancestors/New England Genealogical Historic Society is a leading institution for family history research in America. Their website hosts over 1.4 billion searchable names, offering expertise and research services in American family history.

The 10 Million Names project is dedicated to recovering the identities of the estimated 10 million individuals of African descent who were enslaved in pre- and post-colonial America, in the area that is now the United States. The initiative seeks to to help uncover scant records and amplify the voices of those who have preserved their family stories, connect researchers and data partners with people seeking answers about their family histories, and expand access to data, resources, and information concerning enslaved African Americans.

The IAJGS is an organization of over 90 Jewish genealogical societies world-wide supporting, sponsoring education for, and reaching out to Jewish family history researchers.

At RootsTech 2024, IAJGS will emphasize how we can best serve you in your journey to learn more about your ancestors and relatives, and their lives.

The New York Genealogical and Biographical Society is New York state's largest and oldest genealogical organization. Their goal is to help individuals explore their New York ancestors' stories in detail. They offer online records for browsing, with full access granted to NYG&B members for less than $8 a month. Additionally, NYG&B collaborates with various professionals and organizations to provide broader historical contexts and foster connections between New York's past and present.
