RootsTech for Directors: Watch and Learn

Boy Doing Genealogy

RootsTech 2015 was held in February. Several hundred people attended the Friday sessions for family history center directors. These director sessions are now available on the family history center director page on LDS.org. Topics include:

  • The Family History Center of the Future
  • What We Learned from the Worldwide 2014 Discovery Experience Pilot Program
  • How Center Directors Can Help Priesthood Leaders Achieve Their Goals
  • Three Foundational Experiences a Family History Center Can’t Miss

Here are comments from directors who attended:
Thank you for helping me to better understand and enabling me to magnify my responsibilities as a director. Now I know the right questions to ask and how to work better with my priesthood leaders. THANKS!! —Oregon

I'm grateful for these classes because they've helped me see things from others’ point of view and inspire new and different ways to approach the work. Thank you! —California

So many fun, good, needful ideas. If I do it all, when will I have time to do my own research?! —Texas

Please use these videos to learn about how to implement Elder Quentin L. Cook’s directive to teach Church members to how to find, take, and teach. In the coming months, there will be a space on LDS.org where you can share your experience. We at FamilySearch are excited to hear how you make these experiences unique for the people you serve. Thanks for all you do!
