Ordinances Ready is a FamilySearch tool that simplifies finding names for the temple, allowing you more time to serve your family and enjoy the blessings of the temple.
Imagine if you could tap a button and easily find family names for ordinances that are waiting to be reserved and completed. This feature makes it possible!
How It Works
Watch a quick video from Elder David A. Bednar and Sister Susan K. Bednar on how Ordinances Ready works, or read the instructions below.
Ordinances Ready is super simple to use! From the Ordinances Ready web page, all you have to do is select an ordinance, and the feature will search for available family names. On the app, you simply tap the green button and select an ordinance to start searching.
Visit Ordinances Ready on FamilySearch.org, or download the app (available in iOS and Android) to try it for yourself. To get to Ordinances Ready from the app, tap the temple icon (iOS) or the 3-bar menu in the top left and tap Temple (Android).
Note: Ordinances Ready will always give you ordinances that are qualified for temple work and that you are allowed to reserve. It may sometimes give you names of persons who are not your relatives. Those names have all been shared with the temple list, a repository of names for which relatives have given permission for others to perform the ordinances.

Getting to Know Each Person, and Taking the Names to the Temple
Using Ordinances Ready, you can also get to know each person you are about to do ordinances for. Tap View Relationship to see how you are related, and tap View Person or the person’s name to look at life events, memories, and photos in Family Tree.
Once you have reserved family names, Ordinances Ready allows you to print temple cards or take a QR code to the temple for easy printing.
