FamilySearch is pleased to launch a new FamilySearch.org experience in international languages. This is the first of a series of updates that FamilySearch will be making within the next few months in order to improve everyone’s experience on the site. Users whose browsers are set to French, Italian, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, or Korean as their default language will now see a localized home page in their language.
As you visit the page and navigate through the new design, you will notice a sub navigation bar with links to resources on the English familysearch.org home page. These will remain available until they become fully functional in their respective language.
The ability to search in your language through our database is one of the features, which is not yet ready, but it is coming soon.
We have maintained a link to the current search page from this sub navigation bar. You may also research our records through this link at the bottom right corner of the page.
This is a very exciting time at FamilySearch. You will be able to see much more as additional portions of the site are made available in your language.FamilySearch is the largest genealogy organization in the world. Millions of people use FamilySearch records, resources, and services each year to learn more about their family history. We are pleased to present to you this first step in bringing all of our services to you in your language.
