There are over 2,500 FamilySearch affiliate libraries worldwide today. These affiliates help FamilySearch create broader access to historical record collections, more personalized patron assistance locally, and more personal family history discovery experiences. - Access to the FamilySearch website resources, which remain FREE.
- Patron access to additional historical record image collections.
- Special offers to products and services that may be of interest.
Requirements
- At least one web-enabled computer workstation in a public area for patron access to FamilySearch.org. (Note: This computer does not need to be a dedicated workstation for FamilySearch use only.)
- An external static IP address for the library. If your library uses multiple static IP addresses or a static IP address range, please provide each of those addresses or the range of IP addresses.
- A contact person name and email address.
- A prominent link on the designated computer or library’s desktop menu to access FamilySearch.org. The link should be FamilySearch’s approved logo.
- A posted, visible certificate designating your library as a FamilySearch affiliate.
How to Apply
- Request a copy of the FamilySearch Affiliate Library Agreement form by sending an email to affiliatelibraries@familysearch.org.
Before submitting the agreement for approval, be sure to fill in the required information, such as:
- Name of the library
- Location address of the library
- Contact person's name and email address
- Static IP address
- Add a signature at the bottom of the form.
- Email the filled-out form to affiliatelibraries@familysearch.org.
