Editor: Curt Howard (1986-1994); Barbara Howard & Kent Halvorson.

Published: Acworth, Georgia; Marietta, Georgia; Portland, Oregon.

Some pages are filmed out of order.

Some pages have previously published works and pedigree charts which have small print, are faded, are shaded, are cut-short, or are otherwise hard to read. Best copy available.

Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Howard (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England, Ireland and Scotland. Some settled in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island in the 1600's. In the 1700's, some migrated to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia (Canada), and to Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North and South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Vermont and Virginia. During the 1800's, some settled in Alberta and Quebec (Canada), and in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Tennessee, Texas, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin. Later families also lived in Australia, and in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Washington, and elsewhere.

Includes queries.

Vol. S1 (1995) is entitled "the 1980's special issue" because it contains 209 never-before published queries from 1980.

Also includes Hayward, Hayword, Heaward, Heward, Heyward(s), Hovard, Howad, Howar, Howard(s), Howare, Howerd, Howward, and other variant spellings.

Also includes Yarborough, Edson, Beaver, Goodwin, Wilhite, Sliger, Price, Ray, Southard, and other related families.

Also available on microfiche.

Includes a cumulative index for vols. 1-38.

Three times per year, published in spring, summer and fall.

Introductory issue and next two issues called "vol. 86" (all three appeared in 1986); the first issue in 1987 was similarly called "vol. 87." The subsequent issue was called "vol. 5," and issues thereafter are consecutive. Numbering error: Vol. 7 (spring 1988) was numbered vol. 6; "No. 30 (fall 1995) issue was numbered no. 29, and the index should have indicated queries through #368 instead of #358" -- inside back cover vol. 31 (winter 1995). Speical issue Vol. S1 (1995) (the 1980's special issue) follows vol. 31 (winter special issue), and precedes vol. 32 (spring 1996) issue. Vol. 5/6 (summer/fall 1987), and vol. 26/27 (summer/fall 1994) are double issues.
