Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Carey (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England, Germany, Ireland, and Scotland. Many originated in Bristol, Devon, Faulkland, and Downacary, England. Some immigrated to Barbados (West Indies), and to Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Virginia in the 1600s. In the 1700s, some settled in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Some focus is on (but not limited to) early ancestors, including: the immigrant Thomas Carey who settled in Maryland in 1666; the Quaker John Carey of Pennsylvania; Jonathan Carey of Worcester County, Maryland; Stephen Carey, the son of Stephan Brown Carey of Sussex County, Delaware; and James Carey who was born in 1850 in Maryland. During the 1800s, some moved to New Brunswick and Ontario (Canada), New Zealand, and to Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma Territory, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming Territory. Later descendants also lived in Australia, Guam, England, and in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oregon, South Carolina, Utah, Washington, Washington D.C., and elsewhere. Information includes births, deaths, and marriages of earlier Careys as well as contemporary members of this family organization.

Also includes information about another Car(e)y Association, which is also known as the Gilman and Kate Carey Association. This was established for the descendants of Gilman Carey (1840-1923) and his wife Mary Rosanna "Kate" Curtis (1846-1911), who were married in 1865, at Westmoreland, New Hampshire. This Association was had its first reunion in 1935.
