DISTRICT 1 - Established 10 Oct. 1862 with Brooke, Hancock, Marion, Marshall, Ohio, Pleasants, Preston, Taylor Tyler & Wetzel counties. Reorgainized 3 May 1865 with Brooke, Calhoun, Dodderidge, Gilmer, Hancock, Harrison, Marion, Marshall, Ohio, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Tyler, Wetzel & Wirt counties. Louis County transfered to District 1 on 1 Aug. 1865 and Wood County on Mar. 14, 1866. DISTRICT 2 - Established 10 Oct 1862 with Barbour, Braxton, Cabell, Calhoun, Clay, Kanawha, Lewis, Mason, Putnam, Randolph, Ritchie, Roane, Tucker, Upshur, Webster, Wirt & Wood counties. Reorganized 3 May 1865 with Barbour, Berkeley, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, Lewis, Monongalia, Morgan, Pendleton, Pocahontas, Preston, Randolph, Taylor, Tucker, Upshur & Webster counties. Marion County transferred here 1 Aug. 1865. DISTRICT 3 - Established 3 May 1865 with Boone, Braxton, Cabell, Clay, Fayette, Greenbrier, Jackson, Kanawha, Logan, McDowell, Mason, Mercer, Monroe, Nicholas, Putnam, Raleigh, Wayne, Wood and Wyoming counties.
