Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Ground (Grounds) families who came to America from the 1600-1900's. Many came from England, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, and Scotland. Some focus is on (but not limited to) the ancestors and descendants of Robert Ground (1767-1850) and Rhoda Conway Long Ground (1779-1863), who were married in Kentucky and settled in Three Forks, Kentucky in 1818. Their family, and those of other Ground progenitors first settled in Barbados (West Indies), Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, and Virginia. During the 1800's, some moved to New South Wales (Australia), India, Canada, and to Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, and West Virginia. Some married persons of the Blackfoot Indian tribe. Later descendants and relatives also lived in British Columbia (Canada), Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, and in Idaho, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Washington D.C., Wyoming, and elsewhere.
