Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Waldensian (also known as Valdesi or Vaudois) families who came mainly from France, and escaped religous persecution in the 1500-1600s by immigrating to Piedmont Valley in Northern Italy. As persecutions continued, some also escaped into Germany, Switzerland, and elsewhere. Some focus is on (but not limited to) the families of Cardon, Bertoch, Beus, Bonnet, Brodero, Chatelain, Gardiol, Gaydo, Gaudin, Justet, Pons, Rivoire, Rochon, Roman, Rostan, and Stallé, and other Waldensian families. Most of these families intermarried. Information is taken from the parish registers (Piedmont Project), the "Restistri dei Beni di Patricolori" filed in the State Archives of Torino (Senato di Pinerolo (Pinerolo Senate), the book "Gli Esuli Valdesi en Svizzera" which is a compilation of Swiss references to Waldensian refugees, from various notarial records extracted by Giovanni Cena of Torino, Italy, and vital records of Pragela (for years 1674-1685), and other sources. The Piedmont Families Organization Project takes these extracted names and information and reconstructs the family groups to make them available in this newsletter. Some records have already been extracted for Angrogna, Peidmont, Perouse, Pinachia, Pramollo, Pragela, Rora, Luscerna, San Giovanni, San Secondo (Prarostino and Roccapiatta), and Perosa. Descendants also live in Argentina, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, South Africa, Switzerland, United States, Uraguay, the United States of America, and elsewhere.

Includes Applonie, Bellione (Bellon), Bellonato, Benech (Benedetto, Benecho, Benechio), Berger, Bertin (Bertalot, Bertinat), Beus (Bosio), Bodoria (Bodrero, Bodoijra), Bonnet (Bonnetto, Bonetto, Bonettino), Canten (Canton), Cardon (Cardone, Cardonis,, Cardonato, Cardono, Querdons), Cattre, Chanforan (Chanforano), Coisson (Coijsone, Ceijssone), Colombat (Colombatto), Durand (o), Favette (Favotto, Favodo), Forneron(e), Gardiol, Gallup (Galoppo), Goss, Gay, Jalla, Justet, Jourdan, Jouve (Giovine, Giovve, Giovene), Lantaret, Lazear, Long, Malan (Malanom Mallano, Mallanoto, Malanotto), Maraudo, Mirot (Mirotto), Musett(o), Odin (Odino, Odine), Olivet (Olivetto, Oliveto, Ollivet, Olliveto), Pasquet, Pavarin, Pelenc (Pelench, Pellanchione, Pellencho), Peyrot (Peyret, Peyrotto, Peiroto, Peiroto, Peijroto, Paijrotto) Pons (Pont), Rage (Raye), Reymond (Reimonde, Reimondo, Raimondo, Reimondo, Reijamondo, Remondo), Rivoire (Riviora, Rivoijra), Roman(o), Rostan (Rostagno), Salvageot (Salvegeto, Salvageotto, Salvagioto, Sarvagiotto, Sarvageot), Sarret, Stallé (Stalé, Staleo, Stalleo), Strangat(o), Tourn (Turin, Torino, Torno, Turino), Tron (Trone, Trove), Vachero, and many other related families.
