Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Harbin (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from Bohemia, Czechoslovakia, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Newfoundland (Canada), Norway, Prussia, Russia, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland, and Wales. Some allied families came from Austria and Denmark. Some immigrated to New Jersey, South Carolina, and Virginia in the 1600's. In the 1700's, some settled in Barbados (West Indies), and in Georgia, Indiana (then in the Northwest Territory), Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. During the 1800's, some moved to Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, Washington D.C., and West Virginia. Later descendants also lived in Australia, Brazil, Canada, England, Malay, the West Indies, and in Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and elsewhere. Some have African American bloodlines. Slaves' names are given. Some have Cherokee, Chickasaw, Chocktaw, and Creek Indian bloodlines. Information has been extracted from census, military, and other official records.
