Hal J. Tolman, 54, of Centerville, formerly of Ogden, died Monday, May 24, 1982, at the Hill Air Force Base Hospital of a heart attack.

He was born July 7, 1927, in Honeyville, a son of Austin Smith and Martha Ann Mills Tolman.

He married Lynette Allred on April 3, 1981, in Jackson, WY.

He was a logistician in the Office of Director of Materials Management at Hill Air Force Base.

He had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He had worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salt Lake City, Defense Depot Ogden and Ekins Dairies.

He was reared and educated in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School in 1945. He received a degree in psychology from the University of Utah in 1953.

He was a member of BPO Elks Lodge 719 of Ogden, Air Force Association, and Hill Air Force Base Officers Club. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are his widow of Centerville; three sons and five daughters, Mark A. Tolman, Salt Lake City; Michael S. Tolman, Denver, CO; Hal J. Tolman, Sacramento, CA; Cherie Strong Denver, CO; Janis (Mike) Herzog, Salt Lake City; CaraLee (Cort) Hansken, Soni Lyn Tolman, both of Sacramento, CA; Wendy Bingham, Centerville; four grandchildren.

Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, Robert A. Tolman, Ogden; Myrle (Russell E.) Streeper, Ogden; Mary T. Boren, Vernal.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Flowers Mortuary in Ogden where friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to services.
