Nancy Jane Bernice Tucker was born in 1920 at Gorman, Eastland County, Texas, the daughter of Joseph Lewis Tucker (1874-1951) and Grace Isabelle Farley Tucker (1880-1959). She married Joseph Lawrence McCormack, a native of New York City, in 1943 at "Bomber Village", White Settlement, Tarrant County, Texas. At the time he was a 2nd Lt. in the army stationed at Camp Hood, Texas and she was a student nurse. They had four children, 1945-1954, born in Texas, Korea, the Philippines, and California. In 1991 Joseph and Nancy McCormack were living at Texarkana, Texas; descendants and relatives listed lived in Texas and elsewhere.
Ancestors include: John Tucker (ca. 1785-1835) of North Carolina and Dickson County, Tennessee -- Thomas Farley (fl. 1622-1650) of Worcester, England and Virginia -- Captain Robet Bruce Polk (ca. 1620-ca. 1704) of Scotland and Somerset County, Maryland -- John Clegg (1656-1704) of England and Northampton County, Virginia -- Thomas Boylston (fl. 1656-1699) of Scotland and Maryland -- Andreas Meffert (1707-1760) of Wachenbuchen, Hessen, Prussia and Chester County, Pennsylvania [Mefford line] -- Johannes Albrecht (d. 1784) of Austria and Berks County, Pennsylvania.
