James G. Ford was born on 8 Jan. 1804 in Berkeley County, Virginia. He married Elizabeth P. Hannah, born in 1807, on 24 Aug. 1828 in Harmony Township, Clark County, Ohio. Elizabeth died on Nov. 7, 1855 & was buried near Watkins, Dover Township, Union County, Ohio. James died at Rantoul, Champaign County, Illinois on Oct. 11, 1890.
"William Benson was born about 1764 in Winchester, Frederick CO, VA. He was of English descent and a weaver by trade. Hew was married to Mary Ervin on 11 Oct 1782 in Frederick CO, VA. He and his wife came into what is now Preston County, WV about 1795 and settled on a farm near Beaver Creek or Little Sandy in Pleasant District. . . . William Benson and two sons, George and James, were buried in a small graveyard on the farm"�P. 53.
William Orr was born on Aug. 29, 1800. He achieved 7'2" in height & weighed over 300 pounds. His first wife, Mary, was born on 29 Dec. 1801. They had at least 3 sons. Mary died on 1 Aug. 1840 in Darby Township, Union County, Ohio. William later married Elizabeth Brown, daughter of Windle and Amelia Brown on Feb. 11, 1841. She bore William 7 children. William died on March 27, 1866 in Darby Township, Union County, Ohio.
