Christbury Noble emigrated from Switzerland to North Carolina in 1710 and helped settle a new town called New Bern. His descendants and relatives mentioned all lived in North Carolina and Alabama.
George Wesley Ray (1830-1869) was born in Autauga County, Alabama, son of Allen Ray (born in Georgia in 1798) and Dicy Moore Ray. He married Mary Popwell in 1851, daughter of Reuben Popwell, Jr. (born in South Carolina in 1811) and Sarah Moore Popwell (born in 1815 in Georgia). Allen Ray was the son of Samuel Ray, born in Albermarle County, Virginia in 1775, son of George Ray. Samuel was married to Rachael Evans. Alfred Baker was born in Darlington District, South Carolina in 1828. Moores are traced to Obediah Moore who was born in Princess Anne County, Virginia. He died in 1839 in Autauga County. Includes history of William Evans, born in 1752 in Caroline County, Virginia. He died in 1841 in Taliaferro County, Georgia.
