Joseph Thom (1743-1829), of Scottish lineage, immigrated from northern Ireland to Chester or Lancashire County, Pennsylvania in late 1773, and later moved to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He married Elizabeth Craig in 1778/1779, and in 1823 they moved to Jefferson County, Indiana. Descendants, ancestors, and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, New England and elsewhere. Includes some Scottish and more English ancestry to the early 1400s.
