This set of electronic image reprints of nine volumes of early New Hampshire probate records covers all estates settled in the Province of New Hampshire from the beginning down to 1771, and thus is an essential reference for all New Hampshire genealogical researchers. These volumes were originally published (1907-1941) as volumes 31 to 39 of the New Hampshire Provincial and State Papers series under several different editors.

These nine volumes contain complete transcripts of all wills, and abstracts of all other papers in the extant files. Each volume has a complete, alphabetically arranged list of estates, and a complete name and place index. Volume 1 has a concise description of the government of the province as it passed under several jurisdictions, and the preface to Volume 9 has information on the founding of the counties and towns, and shows which counties the various towns were in at various times in their history following the provincial period covered by these volumes.
