FamilySearch Adds More Than 9.4 Million Indexed Records and Images to Belgium, Czech Republic, Italy, Peru, Russia, and the United States

FamilySearch has added more than 9.4 million indexed records and images to collections from Belgium, Czech Republic, Italy, Peru, Russia and the United States. Notable collection updates include the 2,514,754 images from the Italy, Bergamo, Civil Registration (State Archive), 1866-1901, collection; the 2,272,393 indexed records from U.S., Michigan Obituaries, 1820-2006, collection; and the 3,449,667 images from U.S., Michigan, Probate Records, 1797-1973,collection. Search these diverse collections and more than 3.5 billion other records for free at FamilySearch.org.

  1. The two digitised films I have located for Russian images are very blurred and totally illegible. Would the scanned film be better viewable at an LDS branch? I had used the original microfilm at one time and I realize the images may not be great but they were typed and were legible enough on the film.
