The Family History Library Announces Free Classes for September 2015

During the month of September, the Family History Library will be hosting a number of free online family history classes and webinars. These classes and webinars are designed to help individuals and families find their ancestors and teach important family history techniques. They are free to the public. Information about specific classes is listed below, as well as information on how to register for classes.

 

 

 

September 3: British Resources on findmypast. This class begins at 11:00 A.M.

September 3: British Resources on Ancestry.com.  This class begins at 1:00 P.M.

September 5: Recursos en línea además de FamilySearch.org. This class begins at 1:00 P.M.

September 10: United States Civil War Records. This class begins at 1:00 P.M.

September 10: Descendancy Research Webinar. This webinar begins at 6:00 P.M.

September 17: British Resources on FamilySearch.org. This class begins at 11:00 A.M.

September 17: Czech Online Church Records Webinar. This webinar begins at 11:00 A.M.

September 17: Key Websites for British Research (Besides the “Big 3”). This class begins at 1:00 P.M.

September 19: Boy Scout Genealogy Merit Badge (1½ hours) To register, call 1-801-240-4673 at least one week before the workshop to find out which requirements should be completed before attending. This Boy Scout merit badge workshop begins at 10:00 A.M.

September 19: Conozca el sitio PARES. This class begins at 1:00 P.M.

September 19: Protocolos notariales. This class begins at 2:00 P.M.

September 19: ¿No hay otros registros? This class begins at 3:00 P.M.

September 22: Newspaper Research. This class begins at 1:00 P.M.

September 24: United States City Directories Webinar. This webinar begins at 6:00 P.M.

  1. Do we register for Family History Library webinars or just sign on to the classes before they start. I have not been able to find a place to register but I do see the instructions to sign into the classes about 15 minutes before the webinar classes.
