It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template is to be used by Administrators to identify pages that have been protected. The template should be placed at the top of the page using the code {{protected}}.

Pages that include this template will be automatically included in the Category:Protected pages

Any contributor can request a page is protected by using the template {{protect}}
