Griffin published the early Dutch Reformed records in 1942, but his transcript "has puzzled genealogists, and been of limited value."[2] This was corrected in another version published in the 1980s:
- 1718-1880 - "Records of the Reformed Church of New Utrecht, Long Island," The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, 1718-1722: Vol. 112, No. 3 (Jul. 1981):130-134; 1723-1732: Vol. 112, No. 4 (Oct. 1981):205-211; 1732-1736: Vol. 113, No. 1 (Jan. 1982):10-14; 1737-1784: Vol. 113, No. 2 (Apr. 1982):74-80; 1786-1795: Vol. 113, No. 3 (Jul. 1982):169-173; 1796-1799: Vol. 113, No. 4 (Oct. 1982):220-222; 1799-1840: Vol. 114, No. 1 (Jan. 1983):36-39; 1830s-1860: Vol. 114, No. 2 (Apr. 1983):86-92; 1862-1880, Adult Baptisms 1835-1879: Vol. 114, No. 3 (Jul. 1983):131-136. Digital version at New York Family History ($); FHL Book 974.7 B2n v. 112-114.
- 1835-1866 - "Records of the Reformed Dutch Church of New Utrecht, Long Island. Marriages," The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, 1835-1852: Vol. 114, No. 4 (Oct. 1983):220-224; 1853-1866: Vol. 115, No. 1 (Jan. 1984):19-22. Digital version at New York Family History ($); FHL Book 974.7 B2n v. 114-115.
- 1867-1880 - Cropsey, Frances Bergen. "Records of the Reformed Dutch Church of New Utrecht, Long Island. Marriages Solemnized by the Reverend David Sutphen, 1867-1880," The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, Vol. 115, No. 2 (Apr. 1984):88-90. Digital version at New York Family History ($); FHL Book 974.7 B2n v. 115.
Here is the old Griffin transcript:
- 1718-1741 - Griffin, Walter Kenneth. "Baptismal Records of the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of New Utrecht, Long Island, N.Y.," The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, Vol. 73, No. 2 (Apr. 1942):96-105. Digital version at New York Family History ($); FHL Book 974.7 B2n v. 73. Baptisms from 1742 to 1776 are lost.
The following online transcript is based on Griffin's work:
