- 1862. Glendale founded by Mormon Pioneers John and William Berry
- 1864. Area around what later became Kanab first settled
- 1864 January 16: Kane County was created from Washington County County and Toquerville was designated as the County Seat.
- 1865. Alton was first settled by Lorenzo W. Roundy
- 1866. Glendale abandoned due to Indian attacks
