Hot off the Press!A new book is being researched by Anne de Courcy detailing the lives of girls and young women who went to India 1858-1947. Some of these girls were seventeen or eighteen years old and returning to their families after being educated in England. Others were going to India to stay with relatives or to find husbands. If you have, or know of anyone who had, a female relative who went to India and married there, especially if letters, diaries or other memoirs exist, then contact Ann, she would appreciate hearing from you.
