Finding my ancestor using the wiki
The Wiki can be a useful tool in locating our ancestors. Although it is not a place where you will find a specific name, going through a process of searching and following links can lead researchers to the needed information. Following are examples showing how resources in the Wiki led to successful searches that would help lead a researcher to his/her needed information.

To use the Wiki in searching for an ancestor, you will need to know:
- What you are trying to find, such as:
- Vital records
- Where they lived
- How they got to that locality
- The name of the ancestor. Remember that there may be more than one spelling.
- A good idea of their locality
- A time period
