Brigham Young University Online Courses
- Introduction to Family History This is a link to an introductory course on family history. The course will guide you through the general research process for doing your own family history. You will follow step-by step guides of what to research and how to use various family history computer programs. The course was developed by the Center for Family History and Genealogy at Brigham Young University. The title is Religion 261: Introduction to Family History.
- Family History Research Training (Independent Study Courses) This is a link to multiple family history research training courses including family records, military records, French research, Scandinavian research, and others. The curriculum was developed by the Department for Independent Study at Brigham Young University in conjunction with the Center For Family History and Genealogy.
- PAF Training This is a link to an online tutorial on Personal Ancestral File (PAF), a free genealogy program created by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints . The curriculum was developed by the Center for Instructional Design (CID) at Brigham Young University in conjunction with the Center For Family History and Genealogy.
- Ancestors Training at BYU Broadcasting This is a companion training site to the PBS family history and genealogy television series. It features video clips from the series.
