History Tidbits
- Castle Dome County was formed 8 November 1864 from the Arizona Territory by the first Arizona Territorial Legislature.
- Renamed Yuma County, 1 February 1865.
- The boundaries remained same until La Paz County was created from the northern portion 1 January 1983.
- Maricopa County was set off 14 February 1870.
