HistoryThe county of Blekinge was created in 1683. It is the smallest county by geographical area in Sweden. The boundaries are identical to the Landskap (Blekinge Province) that pre-dates the county. Before 1997 the county boardered with Kronoberg, Kalmar and Kristianstad counties. The county letter for Blekinge is: K Tools
