Württemberg School Records

The Family History Library does not have any filmed school records for Württemberg for the lower school grades.  There are some school acts for Stuttgart, however, these do not contain a listing of student names, rather they contain some letters written to magistrates and regulations. 

School records often contain the following types of information:

  • Student's name
  • Student's birthdate and place
  • Parents
  • Marks for courses taken
  • Residence
  • Teacher's name

It is possible that the local schools or city archives of the locality in question may have these records if there were maintained for the place of interest.  Of course, many records were burned during the Wars. It would be necessary to look for online record inventories of archives serving the area of interest.  Then if these records are located an email could be sent to request of search for them.
