Associations
Member of genealogy societies including the Utah Genealogical Association (UGA) and the Nation Genealogical Society (NGS) since 1993. He is past president of UGA. Russell served as Local Host Chair of the NGS 2010 Family History Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Member of library associations including the Utah Library Association (ULA), the American Library Association (ALA), and the International Federation of Library Organizations and Associations (IFLA). Russell serves as Secretary for the Genealogy and Local History Section of IFLA since 2007.
