Template:FULLROOTPAGENAME/docEdit This Page

This is a documentation subpage for Template:FULLROOTPAGENAME (see that page for the template itself). It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

Get the full root page name of the current or the given page. It is similar to the magic word {{FULLBASEPAGENAME}}, but returns the root of the page hierarchy instead of the parent. In namespaces with no subpages, it will return either the given pagename or {{FULLPAGENAME}}.

This template can be substituted.

Usage

• {{FULLROOTPAGENAME}} → Template:FULLROOTPAGENAME
• {{FULLROOTPAGENAME|}} → Template:FULLROOTPAGENAME
• {{FULLROOTPAGENAME|List of 28 Days/Weeks Later characters}} → List of 28 Days/Weeks Later characters
