Historical
Many of the original records of church units are in the Church History Library in Salt Lake City. Many of the membership records covering these units from the date of their creation to about 1948 have been microfilmed and are available at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City or at its Family History Centers. Records of the Richfield Ward(1927-1948) are included in this collections.

History
Richfield is a station on the Wood River branch of the Oregon Short Line Railroad, and in fertile farming district surrounding the town. Richfield is 15 miles northeast of the Shoshone and 25 miles southwest of Carey. The total population in the Richfield Precinct was 915 in 1930.
