The city archive of Bielefeld has 1.590 volumes regarding civil registration which are as of now (2009) available for research at no cost if done personally. If research, copies and certified copies are ordered, the cost will be estimated by time and amount of copies. Available for research are the birth records from 1874 to 1898, marriage books from 1874 to 1928 and the death records from 1874 to 1978 if the event occurred in Bielefeld.
