Parish History

This ancient parish (AP) was created before 1813. Church of England records began in 1570.

PATRINGTON (St. Patrick), a market-town and parish, and the head of a union, in the S. division of the wapentake of Holderness, E. riding of York, 56 miles (E. S. E.) from York, and 189 (N. by E.) from London; containing 1402 inhabitants. There are some places of worship for dissenters. ^[1]
